The RBA Vaganova Method

Our ballet programs are founded upon the Vaganova method, with clear progression and a comprehensive curriculum where dancers get the most out of technique and artistry. The Vaganova method was devised to hone professional dancers' training to perfection through a systematic approach, and our training builds on that to help dancers achieve their personal best. Our programs arcrafted by Meiyi Li, the first Singaporean to have trained full-time at the famed Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and through the art and practice of the Vaganova method, we help bring out every dancer’s best - in technique, artistry and performance.

Claire’s passion and enthusiasm for ballet has always been fuelled by her love to dance to any form of music. However, her regular ballet lesson was insufficient to develop her as a dancer on the competitive stage and this upset her and affected her confidence level when it comes to dancing.

Ms Meiyi’s classes are able to combine classical ballet musicality and rigour with originality in utilising Claire’s flexibility to trigger her passion for ballet. Claire is now able to differentiate how her posture, turnout and positions enable her to achieve a better presentation during her performance.

Claire’s transformation from a normal ballet student to a competitor in the International Arts Festival Ballet competition in just 3 months with a Bronze medal to show for, has been nothing but an amazing journey. We are extremely lucky and grateful to have found Ms Meiyi and her budding dance school.
